He has a great reputation (if you are into fraud). Just do a search for him on the CFTC government web portal.

    Example:

    http://www.cftc.gov/enf/00orders/enfrsofhouston.htm

I did not mention Kevin Haggerty. He has his own website at kevinhaggerty.com. I listed tradingmarkets.com.

    Example:

    TradingMarkets Aggressive Momentum Method
    Raptor-II
    TradingMarkets Capital Appreciation Program
    Swing Trading Systems

    Just a short list.

Don\'t take my word for it, just search the web and you will find tons of horror stories related to tradingmarkets.com.

  2. If any of these fraudsters that are trying to sell you their stock trading systems for thousands of dollars were making any money off their own system, then they wouldn't have to sell nothing.
They would be too busy traveling and buying ferrari's.

If you really want to learn how to trade the stock market, then check out a few books at your local library for free and start reading. Don't waste your money on these frauds that come on these websites and try to sell you their losing systems.

  5. Maybe it is just taking Austin awhile to finally get it right?...:p

Or maybe times have changed and his methods have to change to
keep up with the changing times?

Take Traders International for example. They had to change by bringing
in Franz and pulling off one of the biggest rips of all time...:p

  6. You should add these to your list:

    (1) Trading Concepts (http://www.tmitchell.com/)
    (2) Rhythm of the Markets and Option Magic (http://rhythmofthemarkets.com/)
    (3) GorillaTrades (http://www.gorillatrades.com/)
    (4) DTI Day Trader (http://dtitrader.com)

BTW: The TIMES Course (http://tradersinternational.com/) is a match for The Edge Strategy (http://www.rightangletrading.com/). Only difference is $5000 vs. $299. Neither will work with real-money, but at least you save $4700.

Please give us a list of specific books to read that give you your current edge in trading. I'll buy every one of them from Borders tonight :>)

  8. per my evolution of trading = methods:

When I switched from swing trading to short-term trading in late 1999, I used 60/30min charts with stoch, macd divergences. Then added pivots... it all made money from 2000 ~ 2003.

When volatility waned and dried up thru 2004 - 2006, I adjusted tactics & tools to fit.

The result of that is devising several distinctly different methods of trading that give relatively equal results. Think of it as building a mechanical system, then tweaking timeframes and settings to make several "children" systems from it.

    *

I personally trade most effectively using longer-term charts, i.e. 15min equivalent. That said, many if not most intraday traders are addicted to 1min, 2min, 50tick, etc. They'd crawl out of their skin waiting 14min between signal confirmations.

There is a difference between trading methods FX targeting +100pip gains and 30pip gains. Similar tools, different chart settings, different use of tools. Same market, different tactics for the approach.

Likewise, many traders are successful scalping ES and YM for tiny gains with quick trades. That style simply does not work for me on an emotional basis... cannot mold my personality to it. I can show someone the tools that work in such regard, if they have emotional makeup to execute (which I do not).

    **

RSofH tools logic works. TI original method of oscillator = price divergence works. Woodie's CCI patterns work... the only reason his is not added to your list is lack of cost. All of them require individual tweaking and perfecting to operate profitably.

    ***

Thru the years I've adjusted prices and info due to various reasons. Bottom line? It is impossible to transfer information and create "sheeple" who execute the same trades for same results straight thru. Trading is a learned skill, not art but learned skill with great individualism.

    ****

I add this purely in response of self-defense: today in our client's educational HotComm room, one client who is relatively new to trading has booked +3pts ER and +6.5pts ES well before noon. I have not... I'm at -0.5pt ES and open ER short trade up +2.6pts unrealized as I type. What does that say about me, my methods or approach?

Gimme TI's old stuff, RSofH stuff, Woodie's CCI, "Simple-Profitable Method" tools from this forum and I'd make it all work. That would happen with addition of some simple tools none of those methods include, hence the personalization part of our profession.

In all honesty, I really don't care who says what about me & mine any more. My future is based squarely on trading ER, and ES when price action is normal to active. Other than that, I simply add what input I can in this forum and leave it at face value. I'll mark my seventh year of short-term trading next week... there will be many more regardless of anything said or thought about me.

    Hope this clarification helps :>)
