Agreed. I especially hate it on laptops, which is why I wish the 15" mac laptop were the same resolution as the 17" mac laptop. 1024 should be the smallest horz res imo. nitro

Another reason to wait... 22", WSXGA, is the coming thing. There are now about a dozen brands and prices are coming down. I believe 22W" will entirely supercede the smaller widescreen market except for the most price-sensitive buyers.
1440x900? Fuggetaboutit... 19"ers are soon to be toast in the marketplace.... 22", 1680x1050 is the big deal.
Actually, it's 1920x1200.. the widescreen version of UXGA. The 20-22" SXGA is an entirely different class from 24" UXGA.
