Killer nanny situation, why did parents ignore her unusual behavior?

From reports for the last 2-3 months she has gone down a rabbit hole, aged several years,changed behavior,looked gaunt yet the parents of those two poor kids still left them with her.

If they would have fired her on the spot when she started acting up none of this would have happened.

 

Some people are just blind to reality . It's a sad thing.
