  1. Sal Khan seems to be a one man army reforming education delivery with his free and effective methodology. He recently got the Colbert bump, Gates foundation funding and have pilot programs running in schools.

"The Khan Academy is an organization on a mission. We're a not-for-profit with the goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education to anyone anywhere. "

I believe his system has potential to become the education format of the future. At minimum should be able to revamp our K-12 education and potentially expanded to cover university and trade levels.

Students learn at their own pace in small 10 minute video lessons coupled with computer based reinforcement / proficiency testing. The classroom becomes more of a tutoring workshop. Parents, Teachers and everyone interested up the chain can drill down and monitor progress.

Impressive, well thought out system that delivers results much better than our current system. Checkout
