Fruit smoothie every morning with nothing but whole fruit and Kale beats 6 eggs any day of the week.

Finding absurd examples that ignorant people on either side of the food equation is pointless.

What was once thought bad is now good again etc.

Common sense and listening to one's body and eating fresh whole foods.

As I've mentioned before ─ it's simple... but not easy.

  4. So you have evidence that eating large quantities of fructose is actually healthy for the liver?

There is plenty of evidence that fructose eaten naturally and directly from whole fruit (not juice) is completely healthy in moderation. I don't consider how much I have each day large. Get blood work regularly (got another coming up in a week or two) and everything is normal for me, on the downhill side of my 60's.

Note I shouldn't have worded my previous post as a fruit smoothie, because that suggests milk or yogurt is part of the mixture I drink each day. I don't. Not even protein powder which is almost always whey, a milk by-product.

Nothing but water (no ice) and frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, frozen red grapes, kale, raw carrots, raw broccoli plus occasionally pears, melon, watermelon, etc.

"Eat To Live" by Dr Joel Fuhrman has, in the back index 30-something pages of studies he sites in the book lays it out. Of course not all to do with fruit or fructose specifically.

That, except for the eat more animal fat nonsense. I'm no vegan whatsoever.

But clogging my arteries with beef sludge is not my idea of healthy living. Plenty of ways to get plenty of protein without doing that on a regular basis.

A steak now and then, same for a pork chop, veal parm my fav, a burger couple times a year, I'm good to go.

As societies prospered animal consumption went up, so did heart disease and cancer rates.

    There IS a connection.

I have repeatedly found Dr. Robert Lufkin to be an honorable person in his posts.
    YMMV.
