You forgot FAT! Have you tried buttered coffee? Has to be blended - try an immersion blender - lot easier.
Probably/possibly the reduction in sugar helped with the heartburn. Bacteria convert sugar to powerful acids. That's why sugar can do a number on your enamel over time.
Been doing keto for a year and a half. Big change this year was nearly no allergy reactions to grasses turning brown. Strolled through grassy fields and no sneezing. That's a miracle for me. Fat is you friend. Try an egg whirled up with immersion blender, ghee, and hot coffee. You will never order any more of that sugared shit they serve at Starbucks.
Not a coffee person so I wonder what buttered coffee taste like....must be realy rich. I just use coconot oil to cook vegetables to get that fat and when I move past Stage 2 will add plenty of Kerry Gold butter...
Workout today Great energy overall through lifting and metcon workout. Since I been not working ou t regularly last 4 weeks I am not in top shape but still good enough to hit the workout hard. Energy levels feel really good and this is my first full workout after starting Keto. Definitely not missing the gluten as my knee sweeling/joint pain is almost non-existent.
Hoops today. Played for about 50 minutes. I feel great energy levels now and not tired. More important is lack of stiffness or sore joints after yesterday's lifting and todays running (just general muscle soreness). 3 weeks in and defintiely no more dragging energy or brain fog. Just general good up feeling. Lack of gluten means no more personal symptoms from that for me (joint stiffness, bloat, crash). SPoke with a few others doing Keto and they all love the way they feel now. Weiging in again tomorrow, hoping to crack 230lbs.
Weigh In 231.4 lbs. Lost about 2 lbs. this week. I will take it since I was away 3 days in Brazil for work and tried to eat as keto as I could (Brazilian churrascarria makes it easy) Overall weight loss to date is 12 lbs. Energy levels are good and I am rarely hungry beyond what I am eating and my caloric level. 4 full weeks left for Stage 1 if I can get down to goal area.
