I noticed the same with both beer and sugar when once I gave them up as an experience. It is really just conditioning the body.
I could not even imagine getting a whole beer down now....fortunately it made me swithc to hard liquor when I do want a drink .
@El OchoCinco do you also plan to do blood tests at the start and end of your weight loss journey? To see whether anything changes? You mention that you do this program under doctor supervision. How does the doctor supervise this?
Good luck with your journey. 1200 calories per day is not easy. I'm doing 1600 right now and it's pretty challenging to say the least.
I spoke with my doctor first about this and he said I was healthy to undergo it. This diet is more risky with people with high blood pressure, diabetic, digestive disorders or under certain medications. So for clarity I am not seeing him regularly under the diet I just consulted him before doing it to confirm I am free from health risks.
Actually not as hard as I thought but it does increase slightly on workout days. Key is drinking a LOT of water. You are also probably more built haha so need the extra calories initially . But I did not get hit wth full KETO flu, just some fogginess...
Forgot your other question. I had a DEXA scan done in March for body composition and did full blood work in January. I am going to do full blood work again in late June. I would like to do another DEXA scan in late June as well for full confirmaiton of actual fat loss and lean body mass preservation. So to clarify, initial doctor discussion but not regular supervision (cannot go see him weekly haha).
Silly claim if you want to keep your muscle. Any specific reason you are going at 1200cals a day? At that level you will be shredding a lot of muscle.
