  1. Another weigh in before the holidays:

Starting Weight May 10th 243.8 lbs.

    Today July 3rd 217.6 lbs.

    Total - ~ 26 lbs.

Wanted to hit 215lbs. by this week but close enough.

Will go further until 210 and then settle in. Slowly increasing my lifting but work and travel coming up so we will see the results ;).

  2. Travelling outside of U.S. past few weeks and having occasional cheat meals and returning to Ketogenic eating as much as possible to make sure I don't go up. Might not be in full ketosis but eating ketogenic still has the benefits.

    Currently at 215lbs.

Slight loss while on vacation and work travel and eating some bad stuff once in a while. New goal is 210lbs. for when I get back to gym to hit weights hard.

  3. What is a cheat meal for you?

  4. In Mexico this past week I had some bread at a few meals and had desserts. Meals themselves were mainly fish so not too heavy but had to indulge in the other stuff a bit.

As good as they were, the bloating/gas I felt let me know I have to be careful when I go outside my now usual food choices.

  5. Yeah, I think bread should be limited, and chosen wisely. But dessert? No excuse, boyo! That's intentionally walking backwards. :D

  6. I am so ashamed... :(.

Good news it was not worth it so I learned I can live without it :).

Yeah, the immediate bloat is never worth the pain. ALCAR + ALA will also get you back into keto quicker.

  8. Bloats and gas...thought I was stepping on ducks and barking spiders wherever I walked.

Only thing I can enjoy as a "sweet" now is real dark chocolate. Not the shit that Hershey's passes as dark chocolate with 60% cacoa and 47 grams of sugar in a bar. But that 85% level that has fiber and protein and a touch of sugar and slightly bitter. If you are not used to it, tastes like someone made ass into a bar. If you like it...great dessert!

Yeah, you can get the Swiss stuff at TJs now.

Don't worry about being knocked out of keto unless you're going to be eating carbs. Fake sugars, citric acid, etc., won't do it. Even if you're knocked out you won't be eating any carbs so it's moot.

The issue you do have to think about is protein. Gluconeogenesis is very easy with too much protein. Try to keep meals no more than 60/40 protein, preferably no more than 50/50 or you'll convert a steak into glycogen.

  10. Yes i am less worried about ketosis since I am low carb than I am about balancing protein to not overdo it. Trying to balance protein with veggies and fats. I am out of the country but here it is easier to eat healthier than in U.S. with all the processed crap or huge portions at restaurants.

Surrounded by ice cream and cookies and cakes and happy to say my "itch" to eat them has subsided a lot. Fresh bread and butter though...its like fucking crack!

My goal by August 7th is to be solid at 210 and right now I am bouncing between 215 - 217lbs depending on whether I weigh myself pre or post dump haha. I might not hit it but should get close which is good enough.

Only negative is away from CrossFit/gym these weeks so missing my lifting but just going to suck it up and focus more on fat burning and LBM preservation while I try to squeeze out as many push ups and body weight squats as I can (when I remember to do so). I think I might have to start over with pink dumbbells again...
