1. or maybe the States part of the United States. 2. you know like California nullifying pot laws. 3. or maybe realize that abortion was not a power specifically enumerated to the Federal Govt. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninth...ates_Constitution#/media/File:Amendment_9.jpg
This is a very low probability delay tactic; however, it is possible. It happened at the state level. Article I, section 5 of the Constitution requires that a quorum (51 senators) be present for the Senate to conduct business. Often, fewer than 51 senators are present on the floor, but the Senate presumes a quorum unless a roll call vote or quorum call suggests otherwise. https://www.senate.gov/reference/reference_index_subjects/Rules_and_Procedure_vrd.htm Wis. Democrats Flee To Prevent Vote On Union Bill https://www.npr.org/2011/02/17/133847336/wis-democratic-lawmakers-flee-to-prevent-vote Texas Democrats Flee to Neighboring State to Avoid Redistricting Vote https://www.voanews.com/a/a-13-a-2003-05-15-27-texas-67309472/381313.html
it seems you've guessed wrong about me ilk, but there are other ilk. All true, but lets look at it from the viewpoint of "alternative facts"; e.g., the "United" part of the United States, and realize that pot law is not a power specifically enumerated to the Federal govt.
[/QUOTE] I would like to see them do that but I doubt that we would get that lucky. It is an okay tactic for the lefty senators in lefty loon states- but for the ten dem senators up for reelection in states that trump won- then it is a suicide mission when it comes to the election that will follow shortly after the nomination process. Keep in mind that some of those dems- Joe Manchin being Exhibit A- are running around saying that they have consistently supported Trump even though they are dems so you can still vote for them and get Trump's agenda. So they are going to no-show with the other dems on the day the confirmation vote is held to prevent getting a quorum? Such that when election day comes the record shows that they no-showed on a day when Trump needed them the most??? GOOD LUCK WIT DAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
