wow -- 10 billion in profits delivered to investors, starting with 4.6 million and one computer. I am inspired to work harder and more systematically in my business and my trading.
One day, just one day I'd love to read a letter from a corp that's not full of the same old tired cliches. "Hire the best" "Incredibly talenteted" "Leaders" (the most IN vogue crap of the last year) "Empower" And on and on it goes...... Everyone sounding the same and drowing in mindless corporate speak. Not saying this company is anything like Enron but I bet their letters were pretty much as above. Same with GE, same with IBM, same with Google. Please somebody try to write something original. PS. The bit about the worker and the systems work almost made me puke. If my grandmother told me the above story I'd say 'what, so you worked really hard for a month, and the point of the story is......"
I guess the executives there don't like his grandma's cooking. http://noir.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601108&sid=aoLmIWuEWxUI
This guy makes out his fund is original and stocked full of unbelievable talent. So why not try to convey that in the company's letters instead of the usual inane softcore corporate speak which sounds like every other company. Publish the next one somebody, I guarantee it will read the same.
1) Do you attend Cornell or Berkeley? 2) This is a trading website, not a journalism website. 3) Are you able to say "ten billion dollars profit delivered to investors" without your voice tapering off and your eyes looking at the floor?
