None of these would be good choices because Trump is a bad President. There is no fixing that. There is no one who can be successful in the chief of Staff position because of how terrible Trump is.

Trump is a failure and water flows downhill, man. No one wants that job.

  2. Unfortunately Jeff Sessions taught Trump some extremely harsh lessons about picking someone just because they are the firstest and mostest when it comes to being a supporter, so it would not exactly be a novel idea for him. That did not work out so well so if he is trying to find a loyalist who is also not an idiot that could be good.

I have a rather strong stomach for some of Trump's personnel mistakes. He came in as an outsider and by necessity aligned himself with anyone who was with him, even though they were flawed, Flynn, Sessions etc. You do what you gotta do. Hillary would have come in with years of associations in government who she had already worked with. Same with these presidents coming in who have been vice presidents etc. So I see it as a price that to be paid for just coming in as a rogue outsider. But when he hits the two-year mark- coming right up- that can no longer be an excuse. I also have a strong stomach for a major reshuffling presently and shortly after the first of the year for the reasons I mentioned. After that, need to settle in a bit. And just to repeat a bit, I could not care less if the press does reports comparing his personnel changes to other presidents because other presidents have been professional politicians and hacks and brought their own swamps with them or had a pre-existing relationship with the existing swamp. That ain't pretty either.

Drudge linked to this statement from Tucker Carlson today.

“His chief promises were that he would build the wall, defund Planned Parenthood and repeal Obamacare, and he hasn’t done any of those things,” Carlson said, adding that those goals were probably lost causes. Trump, he said, doesn’t understand the system, and his own agencies don’t support him.

“He knows very little about the legislative process, hasn’t learned anything, hasn’t surrounded himself with people that can get it done, hasn’t done all the things you need to do, so it’s mostly his fault that he hasn’t achieved those things,” he added.

He has come to believe that Trump’s role is not as a conventional president who promises to achieve certain things and then does. Instead, it’s to “begin the conversation about what actually matters.”

My view is I give him the thumbs up for keeping his Judge promises.
But he has otherwise not gotten the job done.
    He let Ryan roll him.

  4. The problem is that these guys wanted a too big piece of the pie and Trump is not one who shares easily.

  5. Admittedly the fall from expectations has been less for those of us who were "Never-Hillary" voters rather than Trump-Will-Git-Er-Done voters.

Most of Bill's "dates" cost a mere five bucks. It's a question of quality.

Of course the payment comes from the Clinton Foundation.
