You boys are demented. Van Halen rocks! How 'bout that intro to "You Really Got Me"? Get a grip! MrSubs' Mom Anybody seen my baby? (Jagger/Richard)
Hey Mom! Great fight last night - I honestly thought it would go the full 15 rounds and didn't think you'd knock him out in the fifth. You made me proud. Sorry I couldn't come backstage, but you know they're still looking for me - not so much for the escape as for the margin call. Van Halen definitely rocks but I still prefer the Kinks' version of "You Really Got Me". Later
So nice to finally hear from you my boy. Goodness gracious! Such a shame about Eddie and Valerie! But the Kinks...well I always thought those Davie boys were such nice young men! Love Your Mother, MrSubs' Mom
Always a delight to get a little peek into someone's family life. Thanks to the Subliminal family. Now if Darkhorse Smith could get his mom, Anna Nicole to send her pictures to us, I am sure that Fasterpussycat would be elated. As for my own family, well my old man, Dick Grasso won't let me post any photos. He thinks I am a hooligan ever since I stole his electric razor that he used on his head, and handed it over to my uncle Al Dunlop to market as a Sunbeam product. Then when I made the call to Martha to dump SOC stock, he REALLY got pretty peeved. But anyway, trading has been treating me ok other than today. (Not the stocks...my old baseball cards). So really, look around guys. There's plenty of stuff in your attics and basements to trade. Simple but effective trading. Nasty polaroids of your wives can make for good trades. As well as old stock charting software. Just a few ideas. We really must keep it simple. rs7 (slowly going nuts since my wife is still away....I know it is becoming very obvious. But my mind is not the first thing I have ever misplaced).
are you really sure? what do you think - how many people work in the us brokerage industry? if there was no trading - we wouldn't need brokerage - where would all these people work then? being a trader is not any better or worse than ANY other job.
I have not been following these forums very long...but I agree with William. I believe what he was trying to say is that trading in itself provides no tangible benefits to society in general. It is what one does with the money one makes trading that makes the difference. Whether it is to provide for a family, given to charity, put toward the education of one's children...that is the part that makes it worthwhile (for a trader), isn't it? I don't believe that he was referring to anything earth-shattering like curing AIDS or inventing a barnacle-resistant surface, but simply interacting with other human beings, doing good for others in even the smallest of ways (such as making people laugh like rs7 apparently likes to do). The possibility of virtually limitless profit in trading comes with great responsibility. It can be used for good or for evil, although we would probably all like to assume that it is always used for good. The only people I know who are truly satisfied with their professions are happy because they know they are doing good for others. In the end, what makes this worthwhile (in my humble opinion)is the knowledge that when we are successful...we are better equipped to make that difference. ~ Vesperanza
