Keeping it Simple

1. The post was aimed at whoever was saying that traders contribute nothing. Expand on it? How? I'll try this...if a person sees no purpose in what he is doing, why should he do it?

3. How many of you guys seem to make more $ in afterhours/pre-open trading than during regular trading hours?
do you use the same targets there?

If you want to do something for the greater good, you can always run for political office

Are you being sarcastic or serious?? If you are serious I understand little better why they say Americans are gullible people.

5. Wrongo. America is one place where anyone -- a public servant, a homemaker, a businessperson, a laborer -- can really make a differece. All have a say in how we are governed. At least, he has the opportunity to. I'll take a half a chance over no chance at all any day of the week. It's what traders call an edge. In America, it used to be a commonly held belief that people have the responsibility to do good -- for their neighbors, their nation, the needy.

Since you are apparently not an American, and you are probably steeped in what your schools and TV tell you, I am not surprised if you don't understand.

I knew this would come up.

To the former question- no. Honestly think about it... just small peas, nothing big. What difference does it make anyhow, people are going to get their orders filled with or without us. Rationalizing this question is just an attempt to further justify our career.

To the latter - just think. How much of a relief was it when the plumber showed up at your house and finally fixed those pipes you've been working on for months. How good did you feel when that salesman helped you locate that perfect item your wife wanted so badly, and you've been looking everywhere for.

7. yeah, right. go live somewhere where there is no liquidity. Then report back to us, ok? If there's no liquidity, the government tells the plumber how much to charge and you how much you can earn. It decides how many plumbers there are. You think about it.

Right, nothing wrong with it. Just most traders contribute nothing to society. That's all I was saying.

9. Folly. Most traders could care less, perhaps, but their contribution is vital. Peace out.
