A protester is a leading indicator though. Especially when they will not follow the curfew after they have had all day to protest and then the police and public clearly want the curfew for safety reasons not to silence anyone. Oh, I see. You need to be out protesting at 2 in the morning to express your first amendment rights, and quite a few seem to need bricks to express their rights and pretty soon you need some jeans and a large screen tv to express your rights. It will all blow over at some point and as always the minority neighborhoods will be living with the aftermath for decades. You honkies will have moved on to other things but had your little fun at their expense, just as the looters did.
Protests against the people who give the permits... It started with armed men storming a few state buildings and the police standing back.. You get how inconsistent treatment lead here? This kind of protest is normal in a leadership vacuum or when the leadership is morally bankrupt. What will stop it is the ex-presidents teaming up with community leaders. Trump is making it worse with threats of force. I had to deal with communities that were a pain in the hole in my ranger work, I disliked many of the community leaders but I was there to bring normality so I put on my poker face like a pro. Trump is rolling about in his own shit on twitter and its not working.
Trump is not helping the situation. IMO he is an idiot. This being said.... tell me about acts of rioting, looting, violence, and arson committed by the re-open protestors. If the Re-open protestors did commit the types of rioting that we are seeing today then they would get a similar response to what we are seeing today. We are not seeing much of the Re-open crowd in North Carolina in the past week - the ones not sick with COVID-19 are too scared to come out on the streets.
And business owners are open carrying guns in most states today -- where it is perfectly legal even on public property.
