Keep An Eye On OVEN

  1. There are always two ways of looking at things and its just a matter of which way the investors look at.

Steve Jobs is a pretty weird guy. The guys at Atari thought he was weird in the 70s and he still is weird today. He loves to micromanage and has this god complex. You either love him or hate him.

I can picture him having masterminded a fake board meeting. At the time in 2001, it seemed innocent enough since everyone was doing it.

If he was as humble as Mark Hurd, I would be confident that he can get away with it. It comes down to attitude. The Steve Jobs that I saw on TV does not seem to me like a guy who will squeak through this process easily.

The investors are willing to forgive right now. Lets see what happens later.

  2. Thank God I didn't HOLD OFF!

ENER crosses $36 to the highest level in nearly 6 weeks.Approaching 40 day mov avg resistance near 36.40

Now of course I've drank the cool aid and convinced myself the move is for real and I will give everything back I'm sure.

  3. You know what peeps? I just loaded up on more ENER.
Bored on a friday? Sure . Guilty. But I'll take the 90n cent pull in and hope for the best.

I know it was supposed to be a swing trade and I'm probably going to lose Hangingman and the others here- but to me $40 is a layup and then we can assess wether it will ever get back to the old highs...

As to OVEN it's been a real dud to watch I think I'm going to drop it from the SI watch list. An interesting side note in researching OVEN you keep running into MIDD Middleby. Folks this IS a great company. I mean it goes for over a hundred bucks but this is an oven company with soul. Great innovative new products and sits smack in the middle of this Transfat situation with these new oil cookers that are healthier and faster.
I may in the future do a whole piece on OVEN's main competitor- MIDD- cause they sure look good.

  9. Gone absolutely no where Folks rooted at $15.

But the market has swooned 4%... so now a dead stock may turn into a bit of a RS play. sure they booted earnings good and compared to MIDD they are but a pimple of George Forman's forearm... but time to keep it back ontop of the watch list because as we remember- April is consumer rollout month for Turbochef. Also how would you all like a pizza pie in 3 minutes? Maybe not but how badly would a big pizza chain like to make a pie in 3 minutes?

TurboChef to Unveil Fastest Conveyor Oven

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TurboChef Technologies (NASDAQ: OVEN - News), the world leader in speed cook solutions and innovation, today announced its debut of what it believes is the fastest conveyor oven ever to hit the market. TurboChef will showcase its new patent pending oven, currently named the HhC3240, at the International Pizza Expo 2007 being held next week in Las Vegas (March 20 - 22). The gas-fired HhC3240 oven delivers pizza cook times easily reaching the three and a half minute mark, which the company believes is at least 20% faster than any other oven on the market today. It delivers this impressive performance while using only about half of the valuable kitchen floor space needed by the closest competing oven.

Developed by TurboChef's team of leading impingement air and speed cooking engineers, the HhC3240 has been designed with a small footprint to fit virtually any application and avoid the energy losses and higher HVAC needs of larger ovens. The speed comes from a new and unique air handling design and techniques that create a more efficient, "smoother" air flow, which combined with its engineered nozzle design yield the highest heat transfer rates measured on any conveyor to date.
