Kavanaugh is on fire

  1. Good. Brett will make a great justice on the Supreme Court.

  2. It is hard to tell what is going on, it seems that Trump is lying again and/or trying to make more noise & confusion about instructions to the FBI.

In other news, a bunch more are saying Kavanaugh was a heavy drinker.

"Roche, a roommate of Kavanaugh’s during freshman year, told the New Yorker he found Ramirez’s claims to be credible. Roche added that he saw Kavanaugh “frequently, incoherently drunk.” Another unnamed classmate told the New Yorker Kavanaugh could be “aggressive and even belligerent” when he drank.

Brookes, who also attended Yale, told CNN Thursday that Kavanaugh was “lying” to the Senate Judiciary Committee about his drinking.

“There is no doubt in my mind that while at Yale, he was a big partier, often drank to excess and there had to be a number of nights where he does not remember,” Brookes told CNN.

  3. How much time do you think he'll do for perjury?

  4. Probably nothing. The only thing might be if Flake and another decide he was untruthful and continue to block.

Something I'm curious about is why Flake was kept on the committee at all considering his planned departure. I don't know the rules for getting on and off but I half wonder how much of this drama was contrived by Republican leadership.

Trump got to pass another massive tax cut bill with no funding for his wall fairly stealthily.

I have said in the past, when there's a lot of smoke in the news, look for the fire elsewhere. Although the odds in the Senate for that tax break looks bleak.

  6. If liars are not held to account when giving testimony under oath, that is one serious slippery slope. I was kidding (sort of) when I asked how much time Kavanaugh would do, but it is not a matter to be taken lightly if the evidence is clear that he willfully lied to, and misled, the Senate while under oath. I hope the matter is pursued until it is fully resolved one way or the other. Anything short of that spells kangaroo court.

  7. Yes, he probably won't get to sign it.

I don't know, I never enjoyed reality TV and I'm getting to my limits of nausea with how low the US has sunk.

I know history, I get that major lows have happened before relatively speaking but it may be time to concentrate on the gym and stop worrying about my mom's country for a bit. :)

  8. Let me correct that for you.

You hope it is pursued until after the midterm elections.

Try to stay with the script that you have been given, Comrade, so that you will get your extra potato in your rations at the end of the month.

  10. You have been instructed by your handlers to have your panties in a bunch over Kavanaugh's drinking in high school and college.

I have no such handlers and could not care less.

I will review any evidence of serious crimes from credible witnesses. So far a credible witness has not come forward.
