Does not matter of it's four, forty, or four hundred. If they all have the same devoid of evidence, impossible to prove or disprove story, it should be dismissed as political maneuvering.
You're right, there is a pattern. A pattern of women who have no evidence making outrageous claims about a man from forty f'n years ago.

WASHINGTON — The Senate Judiciary Committee is inquiring about at least one additional allegation of misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, according to a letter obtained by NBC News and multiple people familiar with the process. Republican Senate investigators asked Kavanaugh about the new complaint, NBC News has learned, during a phone call on Tuesday between Kavanaugh and committee staff. Sources told NBC News that Kavanaugh denied the allegation in the letter during the call and a spokesman for the committee declined to comment.
Good, let them probe away. They can continue probing all they like. They can probe after he's confirmed and if any actual charges can be documented with actual evidence then he can be removed from the bench. I suspect we'll see that about the same time we see evidence of actual Trump collusion with Russians.
Only credible accusations count. That requires a name and some confirmation of details, the press should not report anonymous accusations until they are checked out. In his Looney Tunes Press conference today where he let everyone know he had a "huge brain", Trump claimed three women accusers of himself were shown to have been paid to falsely accuse him. He mentioned "a mortgage" and blah blah blah. This seems to be mostly false. He complained that only Fox carried the story -- probably for very good reason. There was perhaps one women accuser at some point who did apparently receive something of value to accuse him of sexual misbehavior. However Trumps version in the "News" Conference was a gross exaggeration as usual. The pattern is very damaging to Kavanaugh's credibility. And there are witnesses to both the pattern and his participation. But so far the committee Republicans have ignored calls to investigate thoroughly and hear from named witnesses. His college roommate is one of the witnesses to the pattern. He's been rather outspoken about it. A new disturbing allegation having to do with a 1998 incident when Kavanaugh was in his thirties is being reported in the news tonight, but is so far anonymous. So it should be ignored at least until a real persons name is attached. By the way, they are locking up Bill Cosby. Another he said-she said. He got three to ten. A big part of the evidence: a pattern! I have studied statistics. There is slim chance at this point that Kavanaugh did not engage in the behavior he denies. As each person comes forward, the probability that he isn't lying approaches more closely to zero, and the chance that each accuser is telling the truth approaches more closely to one. I would estimate we are approximately at 0.005 and 0.995 at this point.
