Kavanaugh accuser goes public

  1. Kavanaugh is done, No one with a bit of a brain is going to put a SCOTUS contender on the stand for sexual assault allegation when the victim is willing and ready to go against him under oath, but this administration is going to double down as usual and will fail the way they failed when they supported a pedophile running in Alabama.

    Next.

Editor's Note: We apologize for the error, but we've since learned there are two Christine Fords working in clinical psychology in California and we wrote this report about the wrong Christine Ford. We regret not going to greater lengths to ensure this was indeed the same Christine Ford. Please do not share this article with anyone (and if you have, delete it/withdraw it); we are only leaving the page up so you can see this important update.

  4. Just got to that :) good spot.

Still can't find the bad reviews, where they came from on ratemyprofessors. There is a computer science professor who got awful reviews, not the ones in question.

"Jonathan Swift wrote about the utility of falsehood: “If a lie be believed only for an hour, it hath done its work, and there is no farther occasion for it. Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect . . . like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.”"

Right-wing media massively fails in attempt to smear Kavanaugh accuser — and targets the wrong Christine Ford

Right-wing media personality Matt Drudge on Monday completely crashed and burned in his latest attempt to smear Christine Blasey Ford, who has gone on the record to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of trying to rape her when they were both teenagers,

Specifically, Drudge promoted an article at Grabien News claiming to show that Ford got poor ratings from her students, some of whom purportedly described her as having a “dark personality” on the Rate My Professors website.

However, doing the slightest bit of detective work reveals that the article is targeting the wrong person.

In fact, the RateMyProfessors page refers to a Christine A. Ford, who taught at the social work department at California State University Fullerton, and who actually received only five reviews — two of which rated her as “awesome,” two of which rated her as “average,” and only one of which rated her as “awful.”

Christine Blasey Ford, meanwhile, is a professor of clinical psychology at Palo Alto University who has never worked at Fullerton.

In addition to Drudge, Trump-loving conservative pundits Mark Levin and Kurt Schlichter also shared the false claim that Ford’s students gave her extremely negative ratings on RateMyProfessors.

Doesn't matter, damage is done, there's no journalistic integrity on the right so they won't take it back.

  7. Hardly matters on ET, the boys will go quiet and come back sipping on a fresh pigshit chocolate milkshake tomorrow.

They lack any real capacity to learn and develop.

Men like that is the reason for the Cranberries song "Zombie".

Clarence Thomas made it on the court and so will Brett Kavanaugh.

I would say the odds are still in his favor, but obviously not smooth sailing to the bench anymore. It is a different time now from early 90s as far as Clarence Thomas goes.

All that being said, he is innocent until proven guilty or until some evidence emerges. Otherwise it is a really slippery slope. And yes, if no other evidence is produced, he should be confirmed.

    This however throws a wrinkle:

The link means they knew about it and were preparing. Getting 65 people on such short notice????

  10. White House sources: FBI is being blocked from vetting Kavanaugh sexual assault claims because Trump won’t order it

President Donald Trump’s administration reportedly has not asked the FBI to vet accusations that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted a girl while in high school.

Two sources told Bloomberg News on Monday that the White House has not given a green light for the FBI to investigate Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations that Kavanaugh groped and assaulted her. The sources said that the FBI can not move forward with an investigation without the permission of the White House.

After being informed of the accusations on July 12, the FBI said that it updated Kavanaugh’s file with information.

“The FBI is basically working for the White House,” Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund President Ronald Hosko explained to Bloomberg. “Their job is to dig into the details and let the White House counsel know if there is derogatory information.”

“You can go get yearbooks and start interviewing high school classmates,” he added. “For creative-minded FBI people, they can generate leads all day long.”

Trump, on Monday, was asked if he would withdraw Kavanaugh’s nomination.

“What a ridiculous question,” the president replied.
