  2. Clam,

I don't understand why you waste your energy arguing with some of these folks. Let them say/do what they feel, and at the end of the day, we both know where they'll be.

    Cheers.

  4. weather.com news update

    - Katrina will make landfall this morning as a major hurricane in southeast Louisiana. A storm surge of 16 to 22 feet is possible along and to the east of the center of Katrina. On top of the water level rise (surge), waves of 20 to 40 feet are possible. Katrina will move through eastern Mississippi/western Alabama on Monday night and is expected to be in western Tennessee by Tuesday morning. Torrential rainfall (possibly 5 to 10 inches) and strong gusty winds will pound these inland areas especially along and just east of where the center of circulation tracks. The heavy rain in a short period of time could lead to fresh water flooding. See the weather.com Tropical Update for more information on Katrina -

  6. Katrina: Downgraded to a 4, press reports winds at 140 MPH, not 170, and more likely to hit Mississippi...

worst case scenario my ass! i can't believe i fell for this baloney. our press corps has so little integrity. they reported it as a certainty.
