  1. Wanna bet we just shut the mouths of all these inane douchebags who had no clue about Lincoln and the lengths an Obama may go to suspend States rights? :p

Don't be a fool! With all due respect this is about my country and my family and my son!

I look around and I see what's going on. A war we shouldn't be in that I'd never let my son fight in, a financial disaster that I had nothing to do with, the rich getting richer, health care way too expensive. Get these thugs out of office and start fresh. Obama may not be perfect, but it's the best choice I've got.

Don't assume that all Obama supporters are Dems and Liberals. Some are conservative in the tradition sense of the work. Smart and responsible.

These Republicans believe in spent, spend, spend, socialize everything, except the health care we need. Make the rich richer, let the poor suffer and cause trouble in the Middle East to protect oil. They're thugs and don't believe in the philosophy you're looking for.

    Pabst Prime,

Even though I disagree with you, I want you to know that my posts about the dummies don't apply to you. I read your posts on this forum.

I know I can't change your mind about Obama, but I can't believe your rationalization of Palin. I tried to accept her, but I can't. It showed me that McCain is a panicky, jittery, political animal, who's running scared. I'm off the Rep side for this cycle.

Anyway, let's agree to disagree, but a I agree with a lot of your points.

My Mom's, ninety years old, main goal is to get CA to secede from the nation. CA gives the feds so much cash and gets NOTHING in return. Or, just a small fraction of what it gives. And the infrastructer is falling apart. Like me, she has no party affiliation, but wants out with the thugs.

Anyway, keep up the educational posts. Maybe, McCain will do one more panicky thing and you might change your mind!

Also, thanks to the poster who did the research to show that Obama's tax plan benefits the middle class while McCain does more of the same. Make the rich, richer. Who would have ever thought that poor white people in Southeast Ohio, Kentucky, W.V., etc., who decide the election would vote to have their last dollars taken from them and given to the wealthiest people in the country?

  5. P.S. I hope the Obamaites are aware that it's HIS supporters who're favoring this bailout.

  6. Please. I've yet to see you say anything intelligent, and I don't expect you to.

  7. Vin no ones FEDERAL plan will ever help us. We need states rights. Palin is not a rocket scientist. By any means. BUT she's the first populist since Reagan to recognize that this is OVER on the D.C. level. Obama is TOO MAINSTREAM for me. I'm tired of word warriors. I want BOMB THROWERS.

Your mom sounds like one great gal. God bless her!

  8. Not sure what your point is here. That Lincoln violated Habeas corpus? You think Washington didn't do the same thing during the revolutionary war? The United States as we know it wouldn't exist if it wasn't for men like them. What did you think they were benevolent, understanding men? No. Things aren't black and white, right and wrong. They did what they did and now the US is the worlds only superpower. Once again, whats your point?

  9. I live my trading life ahead of the curve. Federal budgets are unsustainable. Why, isn't there plenty of money? No. There's not enough money for taxpayers to absorb rising LOCAL costs for education, police and underfunded pensions and then to simultaneously service increased Federal obligations.

    Our country needs money. Agreed.

you can only raise sales taxes and cigarette taxes and property taxes and utility taxes and licenses and fees so much before you tap every last dollar of taxpayer elasticity.

OK, who is trying to raise all those taxes? Not Obama. I don't know why I can't get this through to you OBAMA IS PUSHING FOR TAX BREAK FOR 95% OF THE COUNTRY. THE VERY PEOPLE YOU ARE DEFENDING

Any idea how decreasing property values are impacting municipalities as they reassess property taxes lower? It's a HUGE problem. Cities are broke and states-many of whom have laws restricting the issuance of debt-are struggling for revenue sources. Meanwhile the Democrat's plan to raise FEDERAL taxes. Learn how to build a bomb guys....

Agreed, lower property values hurt everyone. I've explained to you before, you seem to think that housing prices go up and down and wall street reacts to them. No. Everything is connected. Less regulation=companies ultra leveraged buying up all debt=lax lending requirements=more houses built=more houses sold=housing bubble. Its not hard to understand. Now because of LESS REGULATION (small federal government) housing prices are falling like a rock and need to be reassessed.

Let me ask you an honest question, 2 years ago if some democrats in the senate proposed a bill that called for 100 million to pay for regulating financial markets, what would you have said? You an I both know what you would have said. It's that attitude that got us into this mess.

First you talk about how bad our country needs money then you balk at the idea of raising any kind of taxes. Poof! Money from nowhere aye?

I'm not sure what taxes you are talking about but Obama's plan is the only one that makes any sense.

We agree on 2 major points. We need money. The average taxpayer has no money.

What to do then? Well we could raise taxes on the very wealthy to boost revenue and we could cut taxes on the vast majority of everyone else, because they are the ones hurting and they have no damn money to give. Crazy talk i guess....

  10. MandelbrotSet has no credibility as a real trader. When you pull down figures like $130.00, $138.50, and $162.50 per day, attacking another trader's skill is the "pot calling the kettle black." Take EVERYTHING he says with a grain of salt.
