The US taxpayers via their proxy the House of Representatives said "fuck, NO" to the 700 billion bailout of rich Wall Street banks and other investment houses. Maybe the general voting population would have been a little more charitable and understanding if big business had not systematically fucked over the middle class for the last 20 years. Job creation in the US is at the standstill, and most good paying jobs have been exported to India and other countries. Large corporations treat the US public as a necessary yet annoying and dumb nuisance child. They need our purse and spending habit yet they refuse to pay decent salaries and benefits.
