There are multiple ways to raise money from HNW. Sometimes you sell the sizzle and say this is proprietary. The higher your profile the easier that sell is. or.. Little guys better have all their ducks in a row and the right lawyer and the right accountants. The right address the right sales pitch and supporting materials, (hopefully track record or great story) and perhaps most importantly the finders fee for the guys who bring the money guys in. I seriously doubt any hedge funds really explain their true trading methodology as part of the due diligence disclosures. I know for a fact some hedge fund owners... purposely put out misinformation about their methodology and then include a clause in the paperwork saying they can adjust their methodology to market conditions. Nevertheless I am skeptical about Karen the supertrader. I am not sure there are any supertraders. Just people who trade on inside info or find temporary edges and exploit the hell out of them for a while or develop a slight edge due to intelligence and experience.
Because I want to buy whatever she is selling? Sorry, not the case. Learn something about the current day capital raising environment for managing OPM.
Please do tell. Your assumption is that because you don't know anything about her, or her fund, she must be fake. How many HFs are there? How many have public records? I rest my case... And she doesn't need to raise more funds, I think what she is handling now is perfectly fine for her. One more point, by interviewing and promoting her, the interviewer basicly backed her story.... And nowadays 100 mill is not as much as it used to be....
No points for you Pekelo. The disconnect is all of the secretive hedge funds you mention would never appear on YouTube or promote TOS Not to mention call themselves a super trader --- they hate the media whereas this person pursues publicity. I call phony or at the least massive hyperbole from the super trader.
1. She never called herself anything, whoever put it up on Youtube did. 2. She wasn't promoting TOS, she was invited and said yes to the invite. 3. They didn't even say her full name so if it was self promotion, it was very subtle. 4. I call it, you don't get it. P.S.: You really should watch the video at least once....
A real secretive hedge fund manager would never appear in such a manner. There is no upside if your trading is truly how you make your investors $$. I call phony.
No, he was my market hero/guru for years. That documentary and Wall Street the movie is what inspired me to finance. surf
Since you are such a fan of hers, get her funds tearsheet and link it. I certainly do not see even a sign of one.
