Kamala wants a 0.2% transaction tax

    How, exactly, would that happen? There has to be an existing law that allows a regulator to adjust or set a tax, regulators can't unilaterally impose a tax. Which law would allow for which regulator to do this to which existing tax?

    As I've said over and over, the new Senate Majority Leader is Chuck Schumer, one of the senators from New York. He knows who butters his bread, no way in the world this even gets by him let alone several other democrats who represent large constituencies that would be impacted by this.

    Adjust items like the SEC section 31 fees. In reality, the commission is very political and the new Administration will be packing the commission. I'd sweat Pocohantis's impact.
