  3. Good God that was brutal. Short 1107.25 and she just kinda floats around 1108, finally touches 1107 and some vol comes in a little at 11:52 so I clear out scratch 1107.25. Certainly thought more vol would have come through at 1107.25 touch.

BSAM, IB broker, use IB/ToS and Quotetracker charts. Also look at BookTrader on IB.

*watching now she touches 1106 and vol comes through as I thought, patience would have payed but I wasn't trying to lose any more money today.

  4. Hate overtrading but it looks right, short 05.25 on touch

*12:25 good battle of the bots, similar to 11:29. not sure if that bodes well for my short though.

  5. my advice to you for this year is not to tade, even very experienced traders on my desk are already wrapping it up, this has been a novolatility no liquidity year

  7. Update P/L: -$23.00

Ok got short 2 @ 1105.25 touch at 12:29:51 a lot of limit orders came in vol jumped to 7500 pretty fast and price didn't budge, but on a continuation breakdown lower I've seen the limits come through before and then price move lower so I held instead of taking the scratch, got two ticks, out at 1104.75 at 12:30:14. Made +$40 here. Initial target was 1104 which was hit but so much vol came through before that I wouldn't have held anyway.

Started day off bad, -$119, but made some back so not total failure.

  8. Hey Mohd thanks for the input. Do you scalp index futs? Earlier this year I was just learning about options because of the volatility, didn't know anything about scalping/daytrading. I think the moves earlier this year/last fall were crazy profitable, all the breakouts, long & short, would be so much easier to scalp than the price action going on now, but it is what it is.

  9. ES was ready to touch 86.50 and find buyers below but Chicago PMI subscribers must have received the data at 9:42, crazy volume came through, 4 pt move in that minute. Still have sell stop limit 86.50 although the water is muddy now. May get long upside breakout.

  10. Should have been long 93.25 touch in real account but was reading ET.

    On simulator:

Long 2 @ 1095 touch, just got two ticks, volume didn't really pickup when exited, 1096 would have been ideal place to get out , 10k volume was the threshold I was looking for (10:31 bar). But even in sim if it isn't a fastbreak up I'd rather take the profit.

    Sim P/L: $40.40
