I mean, where would you rather live, Tel Aviv, Brooklyn, Miami or Mecca?

the jews, the blacks, the native Americans and all the Europeans and even you English are a big part of America. My grandfather delivered the German newspaper to the German part of town, which my great grand father appreciated because he never learned to speak English.

Yes we speak our version of your English, but we are not English and could go Hispanic at any time.

It's not my living arrangements I am worried about. I was hoping someone would enlighten me as to what the USA's foreign policy is. The old stuff of spreading democracy is looking a bit thin. The Kennedy approach of interfering into other countries's internal affairs was really blown away by the Vietnam experience but no one has come up with anything else. Waste of lives and money. The Obama drone warfare is a bit of a change though. Ramadi has just fallen. It should be simple to surround these isolated cities and beat the 200 ISL fighters in Ramadi, shouldn't it ?

and then what? We've already decided we don't want to occupy Iraq, so we will just let it split up into a new (or old) territory run by different sects

to deliver Iraq to the Halliburton and republican party, as Dick Cheney's dream prophesied, would require a lifelong commitment and many troops on the ground.

so the current strategy is to just let Iraq and Syria split up into natural territories based on the local prejudices, just like Israel. Lines were drawn by the west. But those lines were not natural lines, if there is such a thing.

and ISIL is not exactly contrary to that plan. They are doing a lot of our dirty work, and will be attacked when it is politically expedient.

Here is an article I picked up which should get the world into stop mode as soon as possible before it's too late !!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Isis has used the latest issue of its propaganda magazine Dabiq to suggest the group is expanding so rapidly it could buy its first nuclear weapon within a year.

The hyperbolic article, which the group attributes to the British hostage John Cantlie, claims Isis has transcended its roots as “the most explosive Islamic ‘group’ in the modern world” to evolve into “the most explosive Islamic movement the modern world has ever seen” in less than twelve months.

Photojournalist John Cantlie is regularly used in the terror group’s propaganda and has appeared in a number of videos, including a YouTube series called "Lend Me Your Ears". He has been held a hostage by Isis for more than two years.

The piece, entitled "The Perfect Storm", describes militant Islamist groups such as Boko Haram, which recently pledged allegiance to Isis, uniting across the Middle East, Africa and Asia to create one global movement.

The article claims this alignment of groups has happened because Isis militants seized “tanks, rocket launchers, missile systems, anti-aircraft systems,” before turning to more extreme weapons the group is not in possession of - such as nuclear weapons.

I suggest the US rushes development of multi size neutron bombs. They have the city ( Ramadi etc. ) fashion the neutron bomb to the appropriate size, explode it and the inhabitants can go back in and clear up the mess.
