  2. I am sorry to hear this. Thank you again for your help in translating a few Japanese words for me. I will be in Tokyo again (Nakano & Shinjuku area) for the next 3 months starting at the end of this month. PM me if you are able to go out and grab drink or two. If you are dealing with some medical issue then I wish you the best as well. Take care.

Sorry to hear you are leaving. I wish you the best. I too think old school TA is well worth learning. I hope you can come back to ET in the future.

Thanks for your help over the years, you're one of the few on ET who actually helped with resources instead of simply giving opinions. Take care.

He is in his 70’s you know. He said he types slow. Could be arthritis set up in his typing finger you know??

Most all his posts (that i read) were worthwhile reads. Kinda of like mine! ROFL..I am headed in the same direction. Over 3 score years of age. I also type slow....finger type...but i take tumeric so it helps my joints. Dad has osteo ..mom..rheumatoid. I got a doubledose.

When I finally leave ET there will probally be no moment of silence, or well wishing, but I may get a standing ovation for the making the departure announcement, coupled with shouts of glee especially, from all the regressives whom I pester.

ANYWAY hope all turns out well for him. Good grief I hope it wasn’t a catastrophic trading loss in this recent plunge south. He doesn’t strike me as weak on risk management but you never know...we all have our moments of failure...such is life...

  8. Sorry to hear you leaving.

I understand your need for privacy. If it is a health problem, you may want to spend all your remaining time with your family and cut down the time spent on ET. We're all strangers to you.

If it is a massive trading loss, this is where ET members can help. Not with money of course, but with learning the right lessons from the bad experience. It is a win-win situation. We learn, you learn. The elite members here can offer their sincere advice to a proven good guy on ET and make sure that the right lessons are learnt.

No matter what, I wish you all the best and hope things get better.

Hey, it could be he went short for the dip and made so much it is just time to retire. ...and it

One of the other old timers who no longer posts, told me just before he stopped posting, that he had just had his best day ever. He wasn't watching the P&L, and when he checked at the end of the day -- he said that he had to gulp and sit down quickly... he had made so much. It like 'wowed' him.

And he had often made 'much' -- so it took a lot for that to happen.

May we all go out that way.

  10. Hopefully, that is what happened but if that happened to me, I will spend even more time on ET. Why quit ET? It's not a job that one hates.
