Most criminals have 0 intention to commit mass shootings, they interested in robbing, drug sales, rapes an so on. Hand gun will give the protection to citizens against almost anything.
And you're the arbiter of what is and is not "reasonable"? How does one get certified for that anyway? Armed school security and keeping the nut jobs locked up alone would all but solve the problem. But virtually no one on the left wants to even discuss such measures. That leads me to conclude they're not really concerned with school safety. They're just obsessed with eliminating firearms any way they can.
He thinks he has logic on his side, but has yet to make any rational and logical argument. All he can do is try to pretend his view is the "reasonable" one, just because he says so.
You all seem to use the argument that 2ns Amendement gives you the right to bear rifles. According to constitution bazookas are also allowed, yet no one is really advocating putting them in hands of citizens, because it is not a reasonable/responsible thing to do. I am making the same point about military grade rifles. Please list your drug argument again, I must have missed it.
Yep, that is the main issues. They can not be stopped 100%, but we can take precautions as society to limit the amount of "damage" they can do.
I am just expressing my opinion. Why all of you attacking me as if I am in some position that whatever I am saying is the only truth and people must abide by what I am saying. Did you even read my responses? I am absolutely on board will all school safety measures that were brought up on this thread. Why make things up?
No one said anything about the reasonable/responsible aspect of bazookas. All I said is there was no use for it. If there was, people would try to get them. But we have nothing to use bazookas against, just like there's nothing the average citizen would need a tank for either. But rifles we have uses for, so they are in demand. Pistols we have uses for, they are in demand. What could a private citizens ever want a bazooka for? You're making a ridiculous comparison. Here is my drug commentary:
