The clean water is provided by the town, not the federal government. The government has regulations designed to keep people and companies from polluting water, but that can be handled at the state level, since all of the land resides at that level anyway. As for food being safe....LOL. I'm in the consumer packaged goods industry. I can tell you first hand how inept and bloated the FDA is. The Federal government is inefficient on every possible level. It is efficient ONLY at national defense. THAT'S IT. Even then I'd argue use of the word "efficient", but no one can do it better. This is a joke, right? You're joking. You've got to be.
"Just look at all these mass shootings...they are mostly done by law abiding citizens" WTF Your whole statement is speculation, and wrong at that. I am a law abiding citizen. I could figure out how to get a firearm illegally if I wanted to do so. And it would be relatively easy. In fact, it would be as easy as figuring out how to get drugs, which is ALSO illegal.
Obama is a capitalist when it comes to guns. The guy is salesman of the friggn year. Prices tripling because of demand. Way to boost the economy. Probably not what Maddow, Matthews and Big Eddie had in mind though. You just can't please some people. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/guns-stock-wal-mart-magazine-191639000.html
A quote from the article. The press is so complicit in driving this bullshit. Like it was the rifle's fault. I wonder if China is considering outlawing the brand of knife that was used in that killing of over a dozen kids with it?
At least Vanguard won't bow at the altar of PC: Vanguard says social concerns will not affect gunmaker holdings Tue Dec 18, 2012 2:58pm EST Dec 18 (Reuters) - Money manager Vanguard Group Inc, the largest owner of gunmaker Smith & Wesson Holding Corp, said on Tuesday it cannot operate its big index funds to meet what it called the "social concerns" of all shareholders. Vanguard of Pennsylvania said in a statement it is "deeply saddened by the tragedy in Connecticut" but said most of its shares in Smith & Wesson and rival Sturm Ruger & Co are held in index funds that are required to track their indexes. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/12/18/usa-shooting-connecticut-vanguard-idUSL1E8NIBWF20121218
If they were home schooled every one of those children would be alive today. Perhaps we should ban schools, since people mistake them for target ranges?
