If you want more first-world migrants then the US will have to be more competitive for quality of life stats (whatever measures you use). People from areas with five weeks of annual vacation per year are not likely to want to immigrate for work at lower pay and less vacation.

I with ya on this one gaydave. America highly discourages breeding and reproduction amongst it's middle and upper classes. It only encourages breeding for the poorest, least educated, and most stupid. Hence the middle-upper class is aging and the lowest class is not, in addition to importing 3rd world immigrants who bring the 3rd world with them when they come en masse.

If we stopped punishing men for having children (by taking exorbitant portions of their income for "child support" and jailing them if they lose their jobs, or their car breaks down and they can not pay etc.), and giving women more maternity leave and aid based on their pre-preganancy income for the first year(like canada does) then it would encourage working women(instead of bottom of the barrel social parasites) to reproduce. Some kind of help with child care (where the child wont be stuck with filthy government employees) would also help out. This would be a much better expenditure of public funds then african penis washing programs, corporate bailouts, 10 year long bullshit wars that should have lasted no longer than 2 years, urban doorbell projects, midnight basketball programs, housing 1% of the population in jail or prison, miltibillion dollar war on drugs, or teaching the public how evil white people are. First world people need to breed at a much higher rate, and limit 3rd world immigration. I completely agree.

What your "just stats" do not "just reveal" is that many states, like california already do have mandatory maternity leave. I believe that states should each form their own policy with regard to this issue. However, I think it would be a REALLY good idea for some of them to consider something out with regard to encouraging reproduction of the middle-upper classes.

I agree. Limit 3rd world immigration. Encourage upper classes to breed more. Discourage lower classes from breeding more. Kill the federal dept of education which was founded in 1979 ( corresponds to the beginning of our declining academic figures). Encourage university. Specifically the study of medicine, science, and technology. Reduce tuition for medical and/or technological studies in all public universities. End cap gains tax, it is income, tax it like any other income. Lower corporate tax dramatically, it's higher than anywhere else in the developed world other than Japan. Cut size of federal government by 50%. Allow local governments to have greater influence. A la Switzerland and it's Cantonal system. Much like our system before our fed turned into the leviathan it is today. This would be a good start.

Ah, you mean like return to the tax and immigration system under Reagan. I enjoyed your addition of eugenics in there -- it's probably about time that made a comeback since the 40's was so long ago.

Regan taxation was tolerable, not the best. However cap gains and corporate taxes were still excessive to say the least.

Gaydave's interesting new definition of eugenics = discourage people from having children which they can not or will not support...
