i need opinions regarding any up to date reading materials that are available

most of the books i have seen are pretty dated

  2. Reminiscences of a Stock Operator - Old but far from dated.
  3. 1. James and the Giant Peach

    2. Goodnight Moon

    ohh, and anything by Seuss!
  4. John Murphy's Technical Analysis book

Market Wizards, "Scwager" Just to show you what's possible.

Any of the psychology books. I prefer The Disciplined Trader, by Douglas.

Do a search on Traders Library or Traders Press for books. Amazon has most of em too.

Believe it or not, most of the better trading books I've read were published before the .com bubble.

Stan Weinstein Profits Bull Bear Markets
    Pit Bull - Marty Schwartz
    Mind over Markets - Dalton
    Japanese Candlesticks - Nison
Trading in the Zone - Douglas

you can get them used on Amazon for pretty cheap, then sell them back when you're done.
