Is it not around $1 at IB? In Europe you pay even more! But check their flat rate model (USD 0.005/per share). Cheers
Wow. Never heard people describing FXCM in that way. But i've some complaints about them though. Slippage, spikes and stuff.
Try mbtrading.com They are 2.95 per 100,000 (1 big lot) commission on marketable orders, or alternatively they pay you 1.95 per 100,000 for adding liquidity if you get filled. You can trade as small as micro lots. They are an ECN and have pretty tight spreads.. EU at the time of this posting is constantly shifting between .9 pip and .3 pip They offer MT4 (which I think sucks), and Desktop Pro which is their own software and perhaps sucks a little less.
Here is the list of what I expect from a broker: - reliability, in the true sense of this word; - tight spreads; - platform that suits my requirements; - no-requotes; - minimal technical interference. I would say that's the core minimum needed.
Then you are very aware of some of the things they do. such as their #...built in platform slippage in slow markets of 2 to 3 pips #...their widened spreads during slow time to as much as 35 pips on majors (eur/usd) #...or their corporate BS response to emails "we will look into that"...but there is NEVER another reply even if you resubmit #...or their platform built in execution delays when the trade is in a profit...these delays I have documented from 5 to 30 seconds typically in normal market conditions what you get when you post in forums of their unethical behaviour is their propaganda machine kicking in to minimize the damages such as these replies from new one post wonders on another ET thread; Jmast1212 Registered: Feb 2011 Posts: 2 02-21-11 11:46 PM I use FXCM and have had a good experience so far. Would recommend them. gr8tr8r Registered: Jun 2010 Posts: 13 03-02-11 09:56 PM I highly recommend FXCM as well...Access to dailyfx is priceless. OR the posts by Jason and others...IT is extremely difficult to believe that FXCM can be so devious, but at the same time think the public doesn't know. fwiw...I quit sending them notices by email as it accomplishes nothing. Instead I have been documenting their practices and procedures with screen captures proving it and when I have enough proof I will send it to the CFTC with a request for investigation.
On Feb. 10, 2011, The Business Trial Group of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. filed a class action lawsuit against FXCM in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York (Manhattan Division), alleging fraud and racketeering because of deceptive and unfair trade practices. I would not trust the broker which has been caught with fraud ...
Provance, I'm looking desperately for a reliable broker (for small amount of money). If you don't want to share your opinion pubblicly, please send me an email. I'm beginning to believe that such a broker simply doesn't exist.
