Exactly. Those asking for higher taxes, do not want to pay those taxes. What they want is others to pay those huge taxes. They just like to mouth off their nonsense. Take Warren Buffet, 2nd richest man in the US and a billionaire. He claims to want to pay more taxes. Did he cut a check to the US Treasury? Hell, no. He is still fighting the IRS over a $100 million assessment they say, he owes in taxes. On top of that, he has tax loopholes up his ass. You will have a hard time taxing him in the first place. So, he dares everyone to raise his taxes. I have extreme liberal friends who tell me they do not mind paying more taxes. Then, income tax filing comes and they find, they have to pay more taxes, and they are the ones squawking, whining, complaining about how the tax code is unfair? Utterly hilarious when extreme liberals end up paying more taxes. "Do as I say, not as I do."

I love this. If these right wingers were as hard on Walmart and Amazon as they are on the regular guy reaping a tax advantage there would be no need for handouts in the first place.

  3. Trump appointees shocked and angry after his desperate payroll tax delay leaves them owing thousands

On Thursday, POLITICO reported that appointees from former President Donald Trump's administration are stuck with big bills after he delayed their payroll taxes as part of an initiative to boost the economy. He promised them that those taxes would later be forgiven — but that never happened, and now they're on the hook for thousands.

"'If the indebtedness is not paid in full within 30 calendar days, we intend to forward this debt to the Department of Treasury, Treasury offset program, for further collection,' reads one letter to a former White House official, demanding she pay $1,500," reported Brian Faler and Daniel Lippman. "That has left some shocked and angry. One former official called her $1,300 bill 'unacceptable,' saying she and her colleagues 'gave our time and effort to this agency and this is how we're getting paid back.' Said another, asked to pay almost $1,200: 'It's just a very unfortunate situation.'"

All of this stems from an executive order Trump signed creating a payroll tax holiday, something he had asked Congress to do but had been rebuffed on.

"In August, he issued an executive order allowing employers to put off paying their workers' share of the 12.4 percent Social Security tax for the rest of the year. The idea was to boost consumer spending by putting more money in the pockets of millions," said the report. "But the initiative was widely rejected by private sector employers, in part because they feared workers would be unprepared to pay the money back. It was mandatory, though, for federal employees making less than $4,000 per biweekly paycheck, and the government began implementing it in September."

Many Trump appointees have been blindsided by the former president's loss. Some had staked their careers on him winning re-election, and found themselves losing their jobs and benefits when it didn't happen.

Yeah but the thing is Trump doesnt vote for higher taxes and say that others need to pay high taxes. Trump likes low taxes so it is not hypocritical for him to seek tax breaks

However when you say you like high taxes, and vote for them its very hypocritical to be taking all the handouts you can get

Also Donald beat Sleepy by a lot

Conservatives love lower taxes, less government intrusion in their affairs. Most conservatives know that they are being robbed to buy votes by extreme liberal RINOs and Democrats. Extreme liberals actually, believe in higher taxes because they want government handouts at every turn. Of course, they want someone else to pay those higher taxes. Just not them. Dirty little secret is if you work a 9 to 5 job, you would be dumb to ask for tax increases. You will be the one paying those huge taxes with no tax loophole to help you. IRS has you where there is no escape. You are it.

First things first Bawawawawawawa Tronal Dump lost bigly. Only in small minds can't that be grasped. But I know you are only saying it to needle me anyway.

Moving on, tRump when he ran in '15 or '16 he said his hedge funds buddies on Wall Street (he has none) won't like him because he would be eliminating the carried interest loophole. Got in, did nothing.

    + + +

Then there is this (which everyone with a clue knew was not going to happen either - especially the part about him lol paying more taxes):-

Trump: My tax plan is 'going to cost me a fortune'
The billionaire businessman promises to close loopholes on the rich, lower overall rates, and free half of Americans from income tax.

In the 1990s ExxonMobile was the biggest company in the world. They had so much money they didn’t know what to do with it. Do you know what they did? They lobbied Congress for more tax breaks and energy subsidies and the got them too.

Americans need to start treating themselves like a company and stop cutting themselves short for no other reason than ideology. Trust me on this, the Uber wealthy and huge corporations don’t give a flying duck about any of us and are looking to squeeze every last dime they can from this country.

So I say congratulations to the poster here who 1. Got a subsidized health plan and 2. Took advantage of the tax code because he isn’t stupid. As a matter of fact, that was some very smart financial moves he made and he improved his personal financial position in doing so. These other guys saying shame on you blah blah blah are the problem. Be smart and do whatever is in your best interest. The original poster should not be shamed he should be lauded for being smart.
