Why, you jealous there aren't enough of them in Peoria?
Even a crack whore has better sense than to waste their time there.

  4. The question no one wants to answer. Where does the money come from to pay for all this? There will be cuts in programs which will hurt student learning. Of course, it's about the kids. Sure it is. That's why they'll cut programs to pay for the hefty salary increases. They'll have to raise taxes. The state is broke. The city is already broke. But hey, they will get their raise.

  7. Parents are as stupid as their kids. From the article:

"Lewis shrewdly built support among parents and teachers in Chicago's inner city communities for two years before calling the strike. The community organizing resulted in strong backing for the strike as well as enthusiastic rallies and picketing."
"Two polls taken this week show parents and Chicago voters standing by the union despite the inconvenience to families".

"The school district has offered average wage rises of 16 percent over four years plus some benefit improvements. It is not clear how Emanuel will pay for the wage rises as the school district has drained financial reserves and levied property taxes at the legal maximum."
"Debt rating agency Moody's Investor Services said on Thursday that the rises offered by Emanuel probably would bust the school district budget and endanger its credit rating."

Key phrases...inner city, community organizing, how Emanuel will pay, legal maximum, bust the school budget, endanger credit rating. How the hell anyone thinks this works out over the next year is gone completely mad.

    He'll find a way.
    Here's how the racket works.
Teachers will get a 300 million dollar raise over 4 years, 75 million a year.
Unions donate about 7.5 million a year to various Illinois Democratic parties.
Rahm borrows more money from the public. The Democrats get their 10% commission (kickback).
Democrats get reelected and the cycle starts all over.
