Experts had made the plans over years for xyz contingency. The politicians followed the plans. In the old days everyone would tune into the same national channel, the men in white coats would speak and everyone would feel secure. Now..
This is a pandemic. You don't debate a virus. You listen to the people who know more than you and I do about the complexities and the challenges. Why would I debate you? Neither you nor I have any grounding in the subject matter. Ruling by decree? These people were voted into office, and now they're exercising their duties to the best of their abilities, and hopefully with the guidance of those who understand the subject matter. There is no political bullshit apart from Trump thinking it's all about him and his Trumpettes thinking it's all about taking him down. It's not. He's gonna go down anyway like a bad turd come November. Of that there is little doubt. And whenever he talks, he just makes it more of a certainty. Even you can see that.
In the meantime he is Dr Trump. Cats are cats by nature, crows are crows and narcissists are narcissists. Their abnormal brain function is not training, its hard wiring, don't expect a cat or narcissist to be more than it is.
^See. This guy is smart. Somebody gets fractions. Nobody knew what the denominator was and the Left Wing media love selling fear porn to depose Trump. Control the numbers = control the narrative. That's why they never mass tested. To keep us in the dark. To keep us afraid. By skewing the numbers and reading the national obituary everyday on TV. Do some research on Fauci and CDC head. Both long-time shitheads involved in all kinds of criminality. Long time buddies with Gates the jab-happy, side-effect happy, depopulationist.
I don’t think the epidemiologists are being political. I think every governor republican and Democrat want their states to reopen. But information about the disease is changing so fast. Other nations who are ahead of us in this virus have seen upticks after they reopened.
What’s horseshit is you using the moral argument of “rights” to push your practical agenda even when you admit there is no explicit right to employment. Even if there was a right to employment (and we both mean this to be the right to seek a job, not the guaranteed right to a job) the government hasn’t forbade anyone from seeking a job. Yes, there are VERY few jobs available, because of the shut downs making it harder to find a job, but no one is guaranteed a job anyhow. If it’s harder for homeless to prove they are citizens to vote, then so be it. (Oops, different topic about rights). This idea of “freedom of employment” is a platitude propagated by foxnews to support Trumps agenda in the wake of scientific evidence about the shutdowns and the pandemic As of now there hasn’t been any serious challenges to the states for violating individuals’ Rights to work during these shutdowns. and there are many organizations who focus on this concept of rights (on both sides of the aisle).
Perhaps I wasn't clear. I wasn't talking about some message board debate. The debate needed to happen during a legislative process, state legislators, city councils, town boards. A governor deciding an entire state must shutdown because one or two larger urban areas are having problems is absurd. Expedient debate was needed for sure, but that process cannot be abandoned simply because some wanna be King decides he or she alone must run the show.
