Just a flu bro...literally

  1. To take the general statement that medicaid fraud exists and use that to derive a nationa conspiracy to inflate COVID deaths is a stretch with no basis.

The claim across the board that hospitals are specifically padding the death numbers by claiming COVID because they get higher checks than what...declaring regular flu...is a crazy conspiracy idea with no facts at all.

So the doctors, nurses, lab technicians and administration all got together to fake the diagnosis, cure, and death of patients in a massive conspiracy...do you realize how many parties have access to the medical records of the patient daily and would have to agree to state COVID tests were positive and the cause of death?

You are claiming that all the hospitals have gotten together to pad the numbers to get money when the hospitals already get money for patients under their care. Medicaid is not suddenly paying them a bonus check for COVID cases, it is normal hospital expenses.

There are no facts or details to make this national claim that 50 to 100 hospitals are conspiring to inflate numbers.

I would think you guys wouldn't just swallow what a FOX commentator guessed as fact.

I'm not using that to drive a narrative. All I said was that medicare fraud happens all the time, is it such a stretch to think it happens here?

I'm using the countless snippets of info showing how numbers suddenly "change" overnight, how cases don't have to be verified to be added, how rules are changed to include Covid deaths, etc. The evidence is all around us. The bigger question is how is it you are so adamantly against the idea that there aren't questionable inconsistencies in the data that aren't pushing a narrative by inflating the numbers? You just trust everything you are fed?

I didn't say anything about hospitals across the board.
I didn't say anyone got together to do anything. But the system is sure incentivized to make the numbers go up. You seem to be fixated on Fox News. I didn't get any of my info from Fox news at all.

  3. This whole narrative and those numbers came from a GUESSt that was on FOX News.

Those who are perpetuated the myth got their info from FOX news or are repeated what someone who did hear it on FOX news said.....that is the link so it is not ridiculous to mention FOX NEWS when that is where this information sprung up and was quoted here in this thread.

No, it didn't, and no, they didn't. I'll be happy to share the sources. However, I am at work right now and I cannot access Twitter. Once I get home, I'll pull up the links to the sources that discuss it. I'm sure you'll dismiss all of them with various snarky commentary because you won't like them. But they're not ZeroHedge or Fox News.

So basically what Lipton and Prado are stating in this paper is that a 60 day quarantine at home works best as the solution. This is supported by slides 25 through 30 (Strategies for Lifting Lockdowns) which uses the Strategy 2c (60 day lockdown) as the base case. Slides 31 to 34 show the effectiveness of alternatives.

The Main Conclusions on slides 38 and 39 support the earlier information for a 60 day lockdown while bringing up concerns over the unemployment leading to drug related deaths, crime, and mental health issues.

Most states in the U.S. have not even been locked down for 30 days yet. The Prado paper indicates that 60 days should be used before easing the lockdown for the best results.

So basically most states in the U.S. should wait at least another 30 days before considering opening for business according to the Prado paper.

This is very much in-line with what I have been presenting and what most health professionals are stating in terms of timeline. With the understanding that proper testing and contact tracing must be in place before a state can "open up" for business with a phased re-opening.

This also shows why the situation in Georgia is about to go horribly wrong due to their governor.

  6. I think if we started March 1st then we would be emerging some time in the next week and would have cut off all that Spring Break spread of the virus as well...

For those who still think this is nothing, got this from a close friend in NJ:

An article about a covid death, what does this prove? That we should shut down the country every time someone dies of the flu and have millions lose their jobs and livelihood? The fact that an article was even written about a specific death proves this is a nothingburger.

    RIP. Sad stuff.

His family was also infected and didn't even show symptoms. Hopefully we can soon figure out why some people die and others not.

Yes F, I said the same to him following his post above (I also played a bit) he was using it to ascribe some ranking to a list of guys.

Whatever E# is, he is unable to explain it himself... I'm guessing WRT is world ranking tournament, just how was Einstein ranked in this? Tis a mystery.. Or just a trader called Einstein?

Why do I have a feeling though that the actual world best traders don't enter ranking competitions?
