Jussie Smollett Charges Dropped To Protect Obama’s Involvement

  1. You are correct and so is our resident lefty, in a way. Looking for obstruction is a tried and true tactic used by the feds when they know the original change is completely bogus. Muller couldn't find any solid evidence of the original crime alleged, which he and everyone else knew day one. That fabricated charge,(incidentally illegal to do), gave him the open door to look for anything and everything else. He found nothing directly connected to Trump, nor did he find any adequate evidence of Trump obstructing anything at all. Best he could do was throw the left a bone to gnaw on until 2020 and give his wishy washy opinion regarding obstruction. All in all the left has come out ahead so far. This scam gave them victories in 2018 and a springboard for 2020.

But on this logic, your side will be convicted, having tried to steal an election from a candidate who campaigned according to the law, toward the electoral college, and the people who voted lawfully for him.

Just because they didn't succeed in their coup d'etat (didn't get the cash) doesn't mean they didn't commit crimes by pointing their guns. Besides, they did get cash. About $25 million for the Mooooler report (not to mention the harm getting that report did to multiple bystanders caught in the crossfire).

I hope they nail the judge and the prosecutor for any crimes they have committed! Jussie Smollet can still be charged under the Federal laws of mailing that powder to himself! Maybe, all of them can be cell mates? No way should this farce be allowed to stand!

And that's fine and dandy, but Trump still impeded the investigation pre and post Comey. The president doesn't get to decide which legitimate investigations the DOJ gets to pursue. Let's not forget Mueller found wrong doing by the Russians, which is what Comey originally set out to do.

And just because there was no collusion on the election front, it doesn't mean Trump couldn't obstruct in fear of what else could be dug out, even if ultimately Mueller did not charge.

So you're saying Trump was wrong to preclude a DRAGNET investigation based on a false charge to begin with?

Russian wrongdoing? If some random Russian citizens bought $100k worth of Facebook ads, that does not comport with the false charges brought against Trump, and does not justify this farce at all. Hillary's (false) charge was that the Russian government intended to weaponize information, and that they were "guided" by Trump as to just how to point and fire that info. Neither of which are true (both false, both fake news).

You forget, there were no investigations that Trump knew of that he could impede. All he knew was Comey was a strange, untrustworthy dude, a sentiment Rosenstein himself agreed with prior to the firing, in a letter he sent to the President.

Interesting choice of words. Several media pundits used to talk about a noose closing in around Trump's neck. So yah, imo, anyone in his administration, who is complicit with this coup d'etat, who is hiding out in the deep state, should start feeling the walls of a prison closing in.
