  3. I wonder what the left's reaction would be if the Justice Department had Don Jr. dead to rights on a hate crime charge and they dropped it.

If there was no collusion, what "justice" was there to obstruct?

That's not how it works, but you know that, and you and I know you've been trolling the last few posts you've made. "Your honor, you must drop the armed robbery charges since my client left the bank empty handed"

  6. I don't get this better use of resources shit, all they had to do was sit down and present the evidence to Smollett's attorney and make a plea deal or have him plead no lo contendre (sp?). Would have taken no more than 1 hour of time as this was never going to trial.

Wrong analogy. If the robber points his gun at a teller but doesn't get any money, that's a crime. Mooooler found NO CRIME, nor an attempt to commit a crime.

You are being very cute there.
As an attorney you took criminal law.
You know the difference between attempted crimes and not having the mens rea because there was no crime underneath to obstruct.

In short if Trump knew he or his family did not do something illegal with Russia he could fire comey for any reason in the world including... to cause an end to the waste of resources and time investigation or just simply to stop the investigation into a non crime.

Even Rosenstein agreed per the memo that the fact there was no illegal collusion meant there was no obstruction of justice.

No justice was obstructed because there was no crime.

Fully agree, couldn't have said it better, even though i got an "A" in college business law.

Further, Comey had stated more than once Trump was not under investigation, which is where the matter stood when he was fired. Part of the reason he was fired was for being duplicitous and two faced. If he knew of a secret, ongoing investigation, then he was dissembling when he voiced Trump was not under investigation .

At best, Trump is guilty of obstruction of curiosity, unwilling to satisfy the curiosity of those media pundits with political suspicion. Maybe not even that. Unwilling to cooperate with an expensive and wacky political agenda, suspicion or not.

Looks like Rahm Emmanuel and Trump are on the same page with this. Include the Chicago Chief of Police, the FBI and the DOJ, it does not look good for the Obama connected fixers.
