1:05 PM PT -- First Assistant to the Cook County State Attorney Joseph Magats -- who replaced Kim Foxx when she recused herself -- says they dropped the charges because Smollett doesn't have a violent criminal history, and lying about the alleged attack was not a violent crime.

Magats says his office prioritizes violent crimes in Chicago, and felt this case wouldn't be the best use of resources. For the record, he says he made this decision alone ... without consultation from Foxx

Of course be did not “consult” with Foxx. Simply giving the case to him is a sign she wants it dropped. If he failed to take the hint he would be out of a job.

  8. Dirty politics. Not surprised to see liberals get away with crimes, see Hillary, and the whole Russiagate crooked villains. Not one has been indicted yet on treason charges on trying to criminally frame a US president.

Maybe, it is a small consolation but, in real life, there is still a thing called "karma". When it hits nobody knows but, if you did bad things, bad things will happen to you at some time. The same way if you do good things, good things will happen to you as well! Not all your political influence, riches or your actions will prevent karma from hitting you when you least expect it to! Justice will be served! Only question is when?
