I am looking for a trainee trader / trade support position and would welcome the challenge of exposure to new products and markets. If you have any positions of know of any please reply to this post. A brief background of myself: I worked as a Junior on a Fixed Income Option Market Makers desk for 19 months, finishing the role at the end of July this year. My main responsibilities included trade support functions (entering trades into front end systems, clearing, brokerage, P&L and position reconciliation), as well as learning the options trading strategies first hand. I have a good knowledge of all Vanilla Option strategies, the option Greeks and portfolio risk management. During my time within this role, I developed a number of automated Excel spreadsheets for all trade support processes, thereby vastly improving the clearing and trade support processes within the organization.
