June Presidential Debate

Discussion in 'Politics' started by kmgilroy89, Jun 27, 2024.

  1. One would think so; but yet he leads. He should be far behind. Only shows just how much confusion there is in the democratic party. Trying to be all things to all people has blown up in their face. Desperate times call for desperate measures and it would come as no surprise of they're going to cook up some "national emergency" as a distraction.

14 to 1 odds. You bet $1, you get $14 if you win.

  3. Probably too little, too late to get Joe off the top of the ticket. Their best bet is some democratic person with a recognized name, but not off the chart radical and boot Kamala. These days that's a small bench to choose from.

On betfair its $1 bet get you $5 at the moment.

If true, Arbitrage would be possible between betting venues for a guaranteed risk free profits.

Trumpers will be Trumpers which is why they're not concerned about the LIES. Bidens will be Bidens but now concerned about the dysfunction but will remain Bidens because they don't have a plan B (too late for another candidate).

The issue of this debate and will be the issue going into the town hall meetings and the next debate...will it persuade the Independents to move to Trump, Biden, or RFK Jr ???

    Fact-Checkers Report

    Trump: 30 lies
    Biden: 9 lies
RFK Jr: 0 lies (not present) :D

Will Independents care about any of the above...anyone's guess. I've talked to many independents from Illinois, South Dakota, and Kentucky...most are concerned about felony convictions and the ongoing two WARS (Israel/Hamas and Russia/Ukraine).

I'm scratching my head about why abortion, gender, and rising cost of living issues weren't tops on their decision-making list.

I will say it again, a suitable Independent (not RFK Jr.) can sneak in and pull off a surprising upset in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Elections now that the door has been opened a little wider after last night's debate.

I would say 80% of what they count as Trumps 'lies' are just his normal bluster, 'im the best president ever', 'i had the best economy ever' ...

Hopefully, there will be more talk and pressure from America to get more Independents into the political race if it's not too late.

I've been hearing that if they're not in by August...it's too late.

  8. A 3rd party at this stage? Brother that is a longshot, but you're right, a reasonable, rational, accomplished independent would be seriously considered. The problem is, reasonable, rational, accomplished people don't want anything to do with politics, especially at this level.
