Disinterested parties will recognize that the U.S. mainstream media is casting President Trump in an unfavorable light. The mainstream media is doing what it should do in celebration of our First Amendment. The faults of previous administrations, going back generations, are numerous and more evident to others then ourselves, but they seem to pale in comparison to those of our present administration. Mistakes often show their most pernicious side years later, far too late to do anything but apologize. And here our country is a failure, a failure that eclipses all others. We rarely muster the courage to issue a national apology. When we do, we do it as a child would, in deed rather than in words. Now we are presented with the most golden of all opportunity. I am speaking of our chance to recognize error in real time before it has opportunity to work its pernicious end. A people of good will should want to recognize their faults and correct them. We have made an egregious mistake in electing a rudderless person as our president. Let us work together to correct that ill. And once that is done, let us address the many challenges we face in restoration of our national integrity. Integrity, once lost, is extremely difficult, though not impossible, to regain. A national mea culpa would be a welcome first step. To gain the respect of others one must learn to apologize. In this respect, Nations are no different than Individuals.
I think -THAT LAST NOVEMBER- Americans had "the most golden of all opportunities to recognize error in real time before it had an opportunity to work its pernicious end." And as they say in Texas, THEY TOOK CARE OF BIDNESS! Speaking of "pernicious ends." Michelle Obama
