Judge Orders Grasso to Pay Back Money

Discussion in 'Wall St. News' started by range, Oct 19, 2006.

  1. a long time ago, we interviewed the guy on our radio program.

i had just started studying the markets, and didn't know who he was exactly, as one of the hosts booked it.

i was not impressed with him in the least, and was actually shocked when i discovered his position and power.

not surprised at the turn of events.

  2. It's the Theatre of the Absurd.

Grasso planned and facilitated for 20 years...
The theft of billions and billions on behalf of the hallowed members of the NYSE.
On the street this is called a "racket".

And then he's set up as The Fall Guy.
He had no idea the crooks he was dealing with... just a Lamb among Wolves.

  3. His legal bills will run into the millions.
And he will probably be fighting civil suits for the rest of his life.

Emigration to a tax haven is probably his best option.

  4. Does he get to keep the interest on the money or any earnings from investments with the money???

  5. Emigration to avoid a tax is not a solution for US taxpapers who owe significant sums.

Prepare to be hounded by the IRS for the rest of your life (only known solution is to have a song writer ex-wife who is a major party fundraiser), and have no way of coming back to the US to visit your friends and family.

You have to care a lot about money, or have no friends and family you care about to undertake this.

  6. I'm sure Dick has all the friends money can buy in NYC...
And I'll bet he can even spell "emmigration".

    Also, imo...
It's important that Dick put out a rap video with some serious Guest Stars...
And then start a hedge fund with some CNBC "personalities"...
    In that order.

Or if he's as desperate as Vincent Gallo...
He could sell his sperm on EBay to the highest bidder.

  7. Like I said — IDIOT. Or absurdly blinded by greed & ego.

Yeah, if you are stupid enough to try to escape IRS and the Feds in U.K. or Canada.

But if you know what you are doing, the IRS will never see a dime from you. Lot of very nice places on this earth where you can live in luxury and the US can never touch you. Most of them are tropics.

  9. I don't know why anyone would try to avoid tax.

95 cents on the dollar goes to mismanaged wars and the care and feeding of illegal immigrants.

What more could you ask for
