That liabilities number seems about right, do you have a breakdown of what it includes?

Is that really the current figure ?

That is really awful incompetence by various top people imho
The average Joe gets banged up in prison for for just a few dollars. While Bush & co. are swanning around as if they had done something great ?

If there was anything to show for all that spending of public money it wouldn't be so bad, but there isn't much to see as far as I know.

Does Bush, Assad etc. sleep well at night having caused so many deaths and suffering.

It was when I captured it. It's already increased since then though.

He doesn't owe jack. He's a Brit. They have their own set of problems.

Fortunately, only a small percentage of that figure comes due today. Some of it doesn't have to be paid for generations. Similarly, present and future income of those generations, which result in revenue, has not been accounted for. Also consider that all taxpayers have not been included to calculate the divisor (only federal income tax payers) and you can see this reduces the "vewy scawy" $1 million per (living today) person substantially. Allow for inflation, the growth of productivity, and I can sleep at night, can you?

A good portion of those obligations are SS (which will be unable to fulfill obligations by 2032 - probably sooner) and your "allow for growth of productivity" is hilarious since we aren't growing without massive government spending and injections. Remove those, and well, we're back to the original argument.

My view of the inflection point for SS at 2032 is that it probably does not factor in the death of the boomers. I could be wrong and would be happy to look at the data.

Edit: re productivity growth, I am not crediting government spending for that growth in my own business but instead "crediting" my competition. Well, ok, there's the internet and such. But my competition has that, too, nm.

I don't see how they could accurately factor in the dead boomers either, so I agree with you there.

edit: regarding your edit, are you referring to the gaining of share?
