Reasonable doubt based on what? 9.5 minutes of choking somebody with your knee on their neck against the pavement is felony assault that would kill anybody. I guess I shouldn't believe my lying eyes or maybe I should believe that the bystanders yelling at Chauvin to stop murdering Floyd was enough of a distraction where the felony should be negated.
Sorry - how did Floyd die? Did you see the autopsy? Was his trachea damaged? Floyd was a drug addict criminal thug who swallowed a bunch of drugs when pulled over, had 3X the overdose quantity of Fentanyl in his system, and was not able to breathe as he was busy resisting arrest.
No-----he's not guilty on all 3. They may have met the standard on the manslaughter charge, but not the murder charges. It's certainly possible in this day and age, that the jury could find him guilty on the murder charges, but he is certainly not guilty of those the way the law reads.
pearl clutching judge should stick to judging, not give the defense a way out through appeal. Chunk Yoghurt is how at least half of America feels:
it's an obvious route for appeal There are pass cases in the U.S. where a politician or public figure calling for violence caused a mistrial -- or the verdict to be thrown out on appeal.
