Are you suggesting we become the "new, citizen watch group" on gov power since the media won't anymore? That would just be crazy enough to work...except for the NSA and IRS intimidation tactics...which were only reported early on by a few "right wing" organzations. back at ya.
LOL. Dude, you're too funny sometimes. I'm glad to see humor from some on your side of the isle. It's something lacking from too many progressives. Seriously, in a way, putting opposing opinions in a forum as this may actually serve to give food for thought to lurkers. But like all things internet (and other media), discretion must be used in shaping one's own opinion. That is why I visit several sites a day from both sides. I'm not trying to change the world, just know what's happening in it. Shit Ricter, if I wanted to change the world, I would have become...wait for it... a Journalist!
richter is fighting a losing battle once again. All you have to know is who owns the media company. Answer... cronies. Who owns the the left and the establishment... Answer...cronies. 1. Most reporters fear losing their job if the criticize cronies puppets. Look what happened to the New York Time editor Abramson when she stated Obama was most secretive President. She was fired. 2. Look what happened to Jay Leno. Tough on Obama... fired. 3. The insurance Commissioner in Wash. D.C. after being negative about Obamacare fired. 4. The U.S. Marine Corps has decided to discharge a sergeant for criticizing President Barack Obama on Facebook. The Corps said Wednesday that Sgt. Gary Stein will be given an other-than-honorable discharge for violating Pentagon policy limiting speech of service members. 5. Look at all the gag orders that were put out on benghazi and bergdhals unit. 6. Who was the general who got fired for saying something that he thought was off the record? McChrystal? 7. Additionally you criticize Obama and the FBI or the IRS comes after you. Look what happened to Ichan the gambler and Mickelson. the first 2 criticised Obama and Mickelson complained about taxes.
Journalists haven't lost their guts. Few ever had any. What they have lost is their integrity. They used to at least pretend to be objective. Now they see their job as advocacy for "progressive " causes. Objectivity has no place in the modern newsroom. You can ask Sharyl Atkinson. It's hardly a recent phenomenon however. Walter Cronkite was hailed as the gold standard of objectivity and honesty, but his reports were terribly biased and he revealed himself in later life as a far left nutcase. FDR was desperate to get us in WW II and used an adoring media to convince a sceptical public. JFK is regularly listed as one of our greatest presidents but few can name any accomplishments, other than maybe setting the record for extramarital affairs in the White House. Conversely, Richard Nixon is reviled even today. His supposed trangressions look laughable against those of Obama or Clinton.
not to detract from you points because they were good. but I want to compare a 60s liberal to today's prefascist democrat JFK cut taxes when the economy was slowing down and he explained why stood up to USSR and was clearly pro american ask not what you country can do for you apollo program to put a man on the moon peace corp vs raises taxes Putin's punching bag obamacare ask for more from you country so we can destroy tax payers benghazi, fast and furious, IRS scandal, spying on media etc, bergdahl for terrorists JFK was great compared to obama
But wait! There's more! http://dailysignal.com/2014/06/03/e...ournalisms-dangerous-trend-censoring-stories/ "Sharyl Attkisson, an award-winning investigative reporter who resigned from CBS News earlier this year, says the news media are heading down a dangerous path with attempts to âcensor or block storiesâ that donât align with their preferred agenda. âThereâs a tendency in the news media, on the part of some managers, to censor or block stories that donât fall in line with the message they want sent to the viewers,â Attkisson said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Signal. âI think thatâs really a very dangerous perspective to have.â... ...Attkisson made headlines in March when she left CBS News after a 20-year career at the TV network. In subsequent interviews, she cited her inability to get her stories on the air... ...Attkisson is writing a book, due out later this year, called âStonewalled: My Fight for Truth Against the Forces of Obstruction, Intimidation, and Harassment in Obamaâs Washington.â She has criticized the administrationâs lack of transparency surrounding the Benghazi terrorist attack"....
