If you believe the truth is so relative, then you can't make with certainty the claim that journalists are biased (except in relation to your own opinion).
I do my own fact checking by scanning tens of websites every day from both the left and right. Somewhere in there I find reasonable articles that actually tend to pan out over time, so I will favor them. I've often seen the news being reported on or heard quotes from actual newsmakers. I must admit that I have one problem. Progressives are such profound liars, I am not inclined to agree with much of what I read by them. This is proven by reporting about issues like "you can keep your doctor". You know how that was spun, and by whom. And let's not forget the Benghazi vid. Need I go on? The left wing media backed those lies, and you know it. Or at the least, they did not question them, which is essentially at the heart of my point.
They say things that a said by multiple sources of reasonable reputation. Or in some cases, I've actually heard or seen the news being reported on. How bout you? You just take everything the left wing media feeds you as the truth?
Keep in mind that Dan Rather was let go from CBS for lacking integrity after the Rathergate scandal involving the Killian documents that led to the firing of Mapes and Rather's forced resignation. Just one of the many frauds he perpetuated during his years as an anchor. He also fully admitted that his newsroom had a liberal spin in multiple interviews. I say that Dan Rather has no guts when it comes to the truth.
Holy shit! You just stumbled on to the truth. If only they wanted to check sources...especially left wing journalists. I guess left wing journalists are like you. They are only concerned what is fed to them...no sourcing needed.
I feel the same about your "right wing journalists", and with equal conviction. So how do we discover the bias? Probably by consulting other... wait for it... journalists.
And yet, one of the oldest journalist around just said they are afraid to do their jobs because they fear power. How did that come to be? They were to be a check on power. So now what?
