Can anyone name another person who teaches Price Action at an equivalent or higher level than Brooks?
Good Morning piezoe, It's common sense he is a faker and scammer. He teaching trading random lines on the chart. "Push up, push down, 3 pushes down, 3 pushes up." LMFAO HAHAHAHAHA. All that pony and clown show. Who on earth would waste time writing books, when they can be clicking getting rich. Charges $100 a month to talk all day in a chat room. LOL HAHAHAH, makes zero sense. When he can be clicking getting rich. lol
Okay, but here's the thing. Since he reportedly wrote numerous scientific papers in the past, he should know how to write. We agree on that. But then he decides to make a foray into the trading field as a vendor and just phones it in with his first book? Not much forethought there, wouldn't you agree? Where the field is overflowing with vendors chasing dollars, you would think he might have put in a bit more effort in making a suitable first impression.
Like I started my previous post, does not compute. As to his book you have me confused with someone else. Never read it, not likely to, so have no opinion yea or nay.
"Higher level?" LOL. What are you talking about? His stuff is generic. I have a number of books on the subject matter, all equally generic, yet better written and more succinct. But to your point, several years ago, I bought Bob Volman's book, Forex Price Action Scalping. I thought it might be interesting, even though I don't trade forex, or use candlestick bars (hate them; prefer the standard OHLC). I don't even use tick charts. All of which he does. Further, even though the text sometimes reads like it was translated from another language, it is still clearer and more concise than what I recall of Brooks' first book before I returned it for a refund. And more to the point, I found a couple useful ideas that I don't recall having read elsewhere and which I use in my own trading, albeit with some personal adjustment. (I also bought Volman's subsequent book Understanding Price Action, but was not impressed. I didn't bother to finish it.)
OK thanks. That's obviously a No, as in you haven't found another teacher of Price Action better than Brooks. Anyone else: Can anyone name another person who teaches Price Action at an equivalent or higher level than Brooks?
Hi @SimpleMeLike , Why do you think so? Why is it “common sense” that he’s a “faker and scammer”, when so many trading forums have, for a couple of decades, seen so many long-established, long-respected members attributing directly to Brooks their own eventual ability to make a living through trading? Do you think he’s had hundreds of shills posting all over the web, all that time? Do you think all the people here like @Darc , @volpri , @speedo and I, and so many others both here and elsewhere, all with such high opinions of Brooks, are persistently lying about having benefited so much from his work? I must admit that I can’t begin to imagine why you might take that view, but I really can’t understand where you’re coming from, on this subject, so I hope you don’t mind my asking?
Hello Probability, I have one simple request please for you: Please show me proof that Al Brooks being +80 years old, +30 years trading experience, written trading books, charges $100 per month for trading chat room, sells trading video course for $400, currently running/paying for YouTube Ads to market his trading video course have: 1. 1 years or even 3 months of live real money trading? If you do not have proof, just simply state, I do not have this proof. Proof means equity curve or PnL track Record of live trades. Thank you,
