Interesting, I heard the argument that the US armed forces are grossly oversized because it was a way to promote social mobility in 1990. This was my girlfriend's mom who ran a defense corporation. Basically a giant socialist jobs and training program. (But nobody dare call it by that). One in ten have too low an IQ to join the US army. From practical experience working with homeless people I tend to believe that. There are plenty of people who are down on the homeless endlessly thinking they are being cruel to be kind, when really they are cruel to be cruel as these people just can't compete. Add an anti-social mental disorder and on the street they go.
