I don’t want to skew anyone who may want to weigh in. I find often times right wingers will oppose anything I say without giving any thought to it. I will be glad to share my opinion and thoughts on this later. Please hold me to account on that if you’re still interested.
Google made a machine. You can put things called queries in and it makes a list of relevant hyperlinks for you to select from.
How can I tell you if I believe someone when I have no facts to support the assertion and don't know the individual? If I knew her personally and could vouch for her character and personality, I might be able to say I believed her. Or didn't. But I don't know her any more than I know you. If you told me you had a purple car, and then asked me if I believed you, I'd shrug. I don't know if you have a purple car. Post a photo! Provide some evidence. That's how it works.
Really? Show me one accusation of rape against Bill Clinton that was EVER in the courts. You are lying as usual, I am not some lazy right winger who you can bullshit and get away with it. And you should read my comment again, I said you posted sources that said Bill Clinton raped someone in college, should I quote you again? Just ask.
Are you denying that Bill was accused of sexual assault... multiple times? It seems that you have continually fantasies in this forum about rape and pedophilia. It makes every reasonable person wonder about your grasp on reality.
Exactly, which is why I wrote I don't believe her. There is nothing to believe or disbelieve. If we are to believe things simply because someone says so, well then, that makes for a very complicated world now doesn't it? It's one thing to apply this idiotic logic to say some guy saying he's a gal, but it's another thing entirely to bring criminal allegations which can potentially destroy a person's life.
You can't even be honest for 10 minutes Check the title of the thread. Then check your own post. Now let me ask you - show me a single instance where Bill Clinton was accused of RAPE in courts You can't because it never happened, you lied again and you got caught again. It's the Trump way.
There’s a larger narrative going on here than just Joni Ernst alleging she was raped. Rape isn’t car theft or a home burglary, it has a an emotional and traumatic effect. A large amount of rapes go unreported and women AND men live with emotional trauma leading to later in life as part of the hearing process share their story. It’s not an easy answer how we take these people’s allegations and what does this mean in terms of justice. Do we believe victims, who are often compelled as a part of healing to share their stories or do we not and effectively make it uncomfortable for them to share their stories. Rape is bad but what about the victims that have lived with the suffering of a rape for extended periods of time? How do we deal with that. You seem to want to take a que from the law but I’m not asking about that, I’m asking do we simply believe the accuser who is going through a healing process.
I get that. But that doesn't make the claim any more credible. There are several high profile reported rape cases where the accuser completely made up the allegation and ruined some guy's life only to be found out later as a fraud. Remember the Duke fiasco (as an example)? We have to take the cue from law. That is what civilized societies do. Otherwise we might as well go back to the Salem witch trials.
Maybe, maybe not. As I said to me there is no easy answer and we certainly don’t have to take any ques from the law if we don’t want to. For example, can we believe a victim but not blame the accused? Or is this always a win lose situation?
