Calling a politician a hypocrite is like calling the sky blue, or snow, white. They are pretty much all shitheads on both sides, except for very few. Dont believe me google the name of your favourite politician with the word hypocrite beside his name and see how many pages of articles you find. The difference is that one side for reasons unbeknown to me wants more of these shitheads in their life, while the other side wants less. Liberals must be gluttons for punishment or something.

Some skies are bluer than others. As for the shithead part, I think you'll agree that Stewart did a fine job of coralling a particularly odious group of uber-shitheads in his segment last night. The party that supposedly wants to give you fewer shitheads is especially pungent in aroma.
Actually what i find funny about the video is a liberal like jon stewart would have called them hypocrites either way, if they vote for the bill they are hyprocrites for vowing to reduce government spending if they vote against it they are hypocrites for not supporting the troops. Democrats throw the words hypocrite around far to often, because any time a republican spends a dime no matter how essential it is they can are called a hypocrite. Where as democrats can tax and spend all they want and the only time they are considered a hypocrite is when they vote on large tax cuts for high income earners..... oh wait a minute.....what was that recent bill which has 70% of democrats supporting it? Whoops. I am now eagerly awaiting the video where Jon Stewart calls the 70% of democrats hypocrites who just voted for the extension of all bush tax cuts. I wont hold my breath.

I did and sometimes do, but that doesn't mean I feel the need to waste time watching it. I already know what he's going to say anyway. All things conservative (even if in name only)/republican = bad, all things liberal/democrat = good.
You know as well as anyone that all spending is not necessarily bad. You are trying to minimize the particularly loathsome conduct of Republicans in this matter. As for the Democrats who voted for the tax cut extension for high income earners, let us not take the point in isolation. The Republicans, always ready to score a political point on the back of Americans, were perfectly poised to withhold aid to the large number of unemployed and the first responders to 9/11 unless the rich got their "aid" too. There was no negotiation to be had and the Republicans themselves made that very clear. The Democrats, knowing full well that the tax cuts to the rich will not provide anywhere near the stimulus value that these tax cut will cost, chose not to play do-or-die chicken at the expense of vulnerable Americans.
